Privacy Policy

1. The short version

TimeSpeedy is built privacy-first. All tools — typing test, focus timer, stopwatch, countdown, reaction test and memory test — run entirely in your browser. You don't create an account, we don't ask for your email, and the text you type during a test is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Data stored on your device

To make the tools useful, TimeSpeedy stores some data locally in your browser's localStorage. This data lives only on your device and is never uploaded:

  • Test results (WPM, accuracy, errors, date and duration)
  • Reaction-time and memory best scores and attempt history
  • Streaks, badges and daily-goal progress
  • Preferences (theme, timer durations, accessibility options)
  • Completed focus sessions

You can export or permanently delete all of it at any time via Settings → Your data.

3. What we do NOT collect

  • We do not record or store what you type.
  • We do not require registration, names, emails or payment details to use the free tools.
  • We do not currently use server-side analytics or tracking pixels.

4. Advertising and cookies

To keep the tools free, TimeSpeedy may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
  • Users in the EEA and the UK: personalized ads are shown only with your consent, via a consent mechanism implemented in accordance with Google's EU User Consent Policy.

Ads never appear while you are actively taking the typing, reaction or memory tests, so they never interfere with a measurement.

5. Analytics

We do not currently use analytics. If we ever add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to improve the product, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.

6. Children's privacy

TimeSpeedy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Since we collect no personal data server-side, no such data can be retained.

7. Data retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it — via Settings → Your data → Clear all data, or by clearing site data in your browser. Once deleted it cannot be recovered, because we never held a copy.

8. Third-party links

The site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes (for example, adding analytics or new third-party services) will be announced on the site before they take effect.
